Q53t 39 Bcd110x4 Outer Black

The Rotor Q53t 39T chainring, drilled for a 110x4 BCD pattern, is a precision-engineered outer ring designed for road cyclists who demand consistent, accurate shifting on every ride. Whether you're grinding the Ghats above Lonavala, spinning through Chennai's coastal heat, or chasing KOMs in Pune, a quality chainring is the foundation of a reliable drivetrain. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Shimano in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

Rotor's Q53t geometry is built around their Q-Ring oval technology ethos, and this 39T variant suits riders who want a compact or semi-compact front end for climbing. For Indian riders tackling the Western Ghats or Ooty's switchbacks in 35°C+ heat, a chainring that shifts crisply under load and resists corrosion from monsoon humidity is not a luxury — it's a practical necessity. At Rs. 7,600, this is a worthwhile upgrade over stock chainrings.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is not a clothing size but a mechanical fit question. The 39T tooth count suits compact or semi-compact cranksets. Confirm your crank's BCD is 110x4 before ordering — this is non-negotiable. Indian riders on hilly routes like Coorg or Khandala often find a 39T outer ring paired with an appropriate cassette gives a more manageable gear range than a 50T setup.

Compatibility Notes

Designed for 4-bolt, 110mm BCD cranks. Compatible with 10, 11, and 12-speed drivetrains — confirm your chain speed and chainline before fitting. Works with Shimano, SRAM, and other 110x4 BCD cranksets. During monsoon season, clean and re-lubricate the chain frequently to prevent accelerated chainring wear. Replace chain at 0.5–0.75% stretch to protect the chainring teeth.

Pairs Well With

Complete your drivetrain upgrade with a matched inner chainring for your crank, a high-quality chain suited to your groupset speed, a wet-condition chain lubricant for monsoon riding, and a chain wear indicator tool to monitor component health over time.
