Description

Inner tubes are the unsung foundation of every road ride. The Continental Race 700x20-25c Presta tube is built for 700c road wheels running tyre widths between 20mm and 25mm — the standard fitment for most performance road bikes ridden across India's varied surfaces, from Chennai's coastal roads to Pune's highway stretches.

Use Cases

Spare on rides. Backup tube to carry on Indian rides where puncture risk is high.

Lightweight setup. TPU tubes for weight-conscious race day or competitive efforts.

Standard fitment. Butyl tubes for daily training and reliable long-term use.

Our Take

For Indian road riders, reliability matters more than marginal weight savings. Continental's Race tube holds up well against the sharp edges, patched tarmac, and debris common on roads around Hyderabad, Delhi, and the Western Ghats climbs toward Lonavala and Khandala. At Rs. 599, keeping two spares in your kit bag is sensible — especially on longer rides where support vehicles aren't an option and conditions change fast.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This tube fits 700c wheels with tyres mounted between 20mm and 25mm wide — the most common road tyre size in India. If you're riding 28mm tyres for better comfort on rougher roads, size up to a 25-32c tube instead. The Presta valve is standard on all performance road rims; confirm your rim's valve hole diameter before ordering.

Compatibility Notes

Fits hooked 700c rims with Presta valve holes. Compatible with clincher tyre setups only — not for tubeless systems. Ensure your floor pump has a Presta-compatible head. Store away from direct sunlight and heat above 40°C to prevent premature rubber degradation, particularly important during Indian summers.

Pairs Well With

Complete your flat-repair kit with a set of quality tyre levers, a compact frame pump or CO2 inflator, and a Continental or compatible 700c road tyre in 23-25mm width. A saddle bag keeps everything together and accessible mid-ride.

Fitting

This tube is sized for 700c wheels running 20mm to 25mm wide clincher tyres — the standard fitment on most road bikes in India. If your tyres measure 25mm or sit close to the upper limit, consider the next size up (25-32c) for a more comfortable fit and reduced stress on the tube. Confirm your rim uses a Presta valve hole (narrow) rather than Schrader (wide) before purchasing.
