Race Cycling Cap

Under a helmet in Chennai at noon or on the early morning climbs out of Pune, a well-designed cycling cap does quiet, unglamorous work — managing sweat, blocking low sun, and keeping your head comfortable across every kilometre. The Abus Race Cycling Cap brings performance fabric construction to this overlooked piece of kit, available in four colourways at Cobbled Climbs.

Use Cases

Under-helmet sweat management. Absorbs forehead sweat in 35°C+ heat across Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai conditions.

Sun protection. Peak shields the eyes and forehead from direct sun on long Indian summer rides.

Style and finish. Completes a coordinated kit for daily rides and group rides.

Our Take

Caps are the most underrated item in a cyclist's wardrobe, and the Abus Race Cycling Cap earns its place. India's heat — consistently above 35°C in cities like Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Delhi through summer — demands a cap that wicks fast and dries faster. The short peak manages glare on exposed roads without interrupting your helmet fit. A practical, no-drama piece of kit that gets better the more you ride.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Abus uses European sizing, so measure your head circumference before ordering. Most Indian riders find the standard fit accurate, though those with wider or higher-profile heads may prefer to size up. The cap sits under a helmet, so avoid sizing too generously — a snug fit prevents bunching. Refer to the Abus head circumference chart on the product page for a precise match.

Compatibility Notes

The Abus Race Cycling Cap fits under road, gravel, and MTB helmets across brands including Abus's own range. Available in Adventure Blue, Autumn Black, Italian White, and Porto Blue. Machine washable — follow care label guidance, typically at low temperature with mild detergent and hang dry. Avoid fabric softener on performance fabrics to preserve wicking properties.

Pairs Well With

For a complete kit, consider pairing this cap with a well-ventilated road or gravel helmet, a moisture-wicking cycling jersey, lightweight cycling gloves for humid conditions, and breathable cycling socks. Browse all Abus accessories and complementary apparel brands at Cobbled Climbs.
