Reacto 4000

The Merida Reacto 4000 is a full-carbon aero road bike built around Shimano 105 groupset and hydraulic disc brakes — a performance-focused machine for Indian riders who are serious about speed on everything from Pune's expressway loops to the switchbacks above Lonavala and Khandala. This is a complete system, not a parts assembly. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Look in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

At Rs. 2,49,990, the Reacto 4000 positions itself as a serious contender for club racers and fast-touring riders across India. The aero carbon frame paired with Shimano 105 hydraulic disc brakes gives you confident stopping power through monsoon descents in the Western Ghats or Chennai's rain-soaked coastal roads. For the price, you get a genuinely race-ready platform that handles India's mixed road surfaces with composure.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Merida's European sizing tends to run generous through the reach. Indian riders with shorter torsos should consider sizing down one step, especially on aggressive aero geometry where reach is extended. Measure your inseam and height carefully against Merida's published geometry chart. A professional bike fit after delivery is strongly recommended — it transforms comfort over long climbs and extended saddle time.

Compatibility Notes

The Reacto 4000 ships with hydraulic disc brakes and a Shimano 105 drivetrain. Pedals are not included — choose SPD-SL or Look Keo cleats compatible with your cycling shoes. Flat-mount disc calipers are standard. First service after 100km is recommended to check cable tension, bearing preload, and brake bleed integrity.

Pairs Well With

Complete your Reacto 4000 setup with a quality aero or road helmet, clipless road pedals matched to your shoe system, performance cycling shoes, and a track pump for pre-ride tyre pressure checks. A cycling computer mount and saddle bag round out a race-ready build.
