Reacto 5000

The Merida Reacto 5000 is a full-carbon aero road bike built around Shimano 105 Di2 electronic shifting and hydraulic disc brakes. Designed for riders who want race-ready aerodynamics and electronic precision in a complete, ready-to-ride package — whether you're targeting a criterium, a sportive, or hammering the Pune-to-Lonavala climb on a weekend. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Look in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

At Rs. 3,04,990, the Reacto 5000 sits at a serious performance tier. The 105 Di2 groupset brings electronic shifting reliability that genuinely shines on long climbs where hand fatigue is real — think Ooty or the Western Ghats in 35°C heat. Carbon construction keeps the weight manageable, and disc brakes are the right call for India's unpredictable descents and monsoon-slicked roads. This is a committed aero road bike, not a compromise.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Merida sizing follows European conventions — measure your inseam and standing height carefully, then cross-reference the official Merida geometry chart. Indian riders with shorter torso-to-leg proportions often find sizing down places them in a more controlled position on an aero frame. Between sizes? For aggressive riding, go smaller; for all-day comfort on longer routes, go larger. A professional bike fit post-delivery is strongly encouraged.

Compatibility Notes

The Reacto 5000 ships as a complete build with Shimano 105 Di2 electronic drivetrain and hydraulic disc brakes. Pedals are not included — choose SPD-SL or Look-compatible three-bolt road pedals to match your cycling shoes. The electronic groupset requires charging; a Shimano EW-WU111 or compatible charger accessory is advisable. First service after 100km is recommended to bed in brake pads and check all torque settings.

Pairs Well With

Complete your Reacto 5000 setup with an aero road helmet for performance-matched protection, carbon-soled road cycling shoes for efficient 105 Di2 power transfer, a quality track pump for pre-ride pressure checks, and a lightweight cycling computer to track your efforts on every climb. A saddle upgrade may also be worth considering after your bike fit.
