Rear Cogniton Hub End Caps

The Zipp Rear Cognition Hub End Caps are precision replacement parts designed to keep your Cognition hub running correctly. Whether you have misplaced an original end cap, switched axle standards, or are building up a new wheel, having the right end cap ensures proper axle seating, correct bearing load, and smooth drivetrain operation on every ride.

Use Cases

Under-helmet sweat management. Absorbs forehead sweat in 35°C+ heat across Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai conditions.

Sun protection. Peak shields the eyes and forehead from direct sun on long Indian summer rides.

Style and finish. Completes a coordinated kit for daily rides and group rides.

Our Take

End caps might seem minor, but the wrong fit causes hub play, bearing wear, and dropout damage — problems that compound quickly on the varied surfaces Indian riders encounter, from Pune's smooth expressway to Lonavala's damp, gritty climbs. The Zipp Cognition hub is an engineered system, and using genuine Zipp end caps keeps bearing preload and axle alignment exactly where they should be. At Rs. 2,350, this is inexpensive insurance for a premium hub.

Sizing for Indian Riders

End cap sizing is determined by your frame's axle standard — not your body size. Confirm whether your bike uses quick-release or a specific thru-axle dimension before ordering. Indian riders upgrading older frames to newer wheelsets should double-check dropout compatibility, as mixed standards are common in the Indian market where bikes are often specced with older components.

Compatibility Notes

These end caps are designed specifically for Zipp Rear Cognition hubs. They are not interchangeable with other Zipp hub models. Verify your exact axle standard before purchase. Installation requires no special tools, but ensure the end cap seats fully and squarely to avoid bearing preload issues. Keep spares if you regularly swap wheels between bikes with different axle standards.

Pairs Well With

Round out your hub maintenance kit with a quality cassette compatible with your Cognition hub body, a hub-specific bearing press or service kit, wheel-safe lubricant for the end cap contact points, and a torque wrench for precise axle installation.
