Rear Cogniton Qr Hub End Caps

Hub end caps are small but critical components — they define the axle interface between your wheel and frame. The Zipp Rear Cogniton QR Hub End Caps are designed specifically for Zipp's Cognition rear hub with quick-release dropout compatibility, making them an essential spare or replacement part for riders who want to keep their Zipp wheels running correctly on Indian roads.

Use Cases

Under-helmet sweat management. Absorbs forehead sweat in 35°C+ heat across Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai conditions.

Sun protection. Peak shields the eyes and forehead from direct sun on long Indian summer rides.

Style and finish. Completes a coordinated kit for daily rides and group rides.

Our Take

If you run Zipp Cognition wheels and have upgraded your build or damaged an end cap on a rough descent through Lonavala or a potholed stretch outside Pune, this is exactly the part you need. Getting the axle interface right protects your bearings and keeps your rear wheel seated correctly. A small investment that prevents far more expensive hub damage — and keeps you rolling in India's variable road conditions.

Sizing for Indian Riders

These end caps are specifically for QR (quick-release) dropout frames — the traditional 130mm rear axle standard common on older road bikes. If your frame uses a thru-axle (12x142mm or similar), these will not fit. Confirm your dropout standard before ordering. Riders in Chennai, Delhi, or Hyderabad with mixed-era road bikes should double-check their axle type first.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with Zipp Cognition rear hubs on QR 130mm dropout frames only. Not suitable for thru-axle frames. These are OEM Zipp replacement parts — fit is specific to the Cognition hub shell. Do not attempt to fit these to other Zipp hub models. Clean hub shell contact surfaces before installation to ensure correct seating.

Pairs Well With

Consider pairing with Zipp hub bearing kits for a complete service refresh, quality wheel-building tools for installation, hub-compatible freehub bodies if upgrading cassette standards, and a torque wrench for correct end cap installation.
