Resolute Road RIM Brake Wheelset

The Token Resolute Road RIM Brake Wheelset is built for riders who want a meaningful performance upgrade without abandoning proven rim brake geometry. Whether you're chasing fast laps on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway, grinding up the Western Ghats near Lonavala, or navigating Chennai's unpredictable surfaces, this wheelset balances aerodynamic efficiency with the lateral stiffness and tyre compatibility that Indian riding demands.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable rim and reliable hub bearings for repeat training use.

Race day. Aerodynamic depth and weight-optimised construction for competitive efforts.

All-rounder. Versatile depth and width for road, gravel, or all-road riding.

Our Take

Token has earned a strong reputation for precision hub engineering, and the Resolute Road translates that into a wheelset that genuinely changes how your bike responds. For Indian conditions — where a single ride can move from smooth tarmac to rough patches in minutes — you need wheels that handle variable surfaces confidently. Rim brake riders in India still have excellent reasons to stay the course, and this wheelset gives them a quality, performance-oriented reason to do so. Selected for Indian conditions based on specification and category fit.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Wheelset fit is about three compatibility checks, not body size. Confirm your frame's axle standard — most older road bikes use quick-release — then verify your brake type is rim, and finally match cassette body to your drivetrain (Shimano HG being most common in India). In India's heat, rim brake pads can run warm on long descents like Khandala; choose pad compound carefully for your rim surface material.

Compatibility Notes

These wheels are designed for rim brake drivetrains — not interchangeable with disc setups. Confirm your cassette body standard (Shimano HG, SRAM XD, or Campagnolo) before ordering. If running tubeless, you will need tubeless-compatible tyres, sealant, and valves separately. Use the correct brake pad compound for the rim surface — carbon-specific pads for carbon rims, standard compound for alloy. Check Token's recommended service intervals for hub bearings.

Pairs Well With

Complete your setup with high-quality road tyres suited to your rim width, a tubeless conversion kit (valves, sealant, tape) if running tubeless, rim brake pads matched to your rim surface material, and a quality track pump with pressure gauge for managing tyre pressures across India's varied surfaces.
