Rivale MIPS Helmet

Road cycling in India demands a helmet that takes heat seriously. Whether you're grinding up the Western Ghats near Lonavala, training through Chennai's coastal humidity, or committing to early morning laps in Pune, the Met Rivale MIPS Helmet is built for riders who want genuine protection without cooking their heads. Italian engineering meets Indian riding reality at Rs. 9,999.

Use Cases

Daily training. Ventilated construction for 35°C+ Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai training rides.

Race day. Aerodynamic profile and certified safety standards for competitive efforts.

Long endurance rides. Comfort-first padding and adjustable retention for full-day rides.

Our Take

The MET Rivale MIPS sits at a price point where you get the rotational impact protection of MIPS without unnecessary weight. For Indian riders tackling hot, demanding roads — think Ooty climbs or long Delhi highway stretches at 38°C+ — the ventilation system does meaningful work keeping your head cool. The adjustable retention system is a genuine asset for riders who find European-cut helmets shift on Indian head shapes. Solid daily training and sportive choice.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Measure your head circumference at the forehead, just above the eyebrows: S fits approximately 51–55 cm, M fits 55–59 cm, L fits 59–63 cm. Indian riders often find European helmets run slightly narrow — if you're between sizes, size up. The helmet must sit level, one finger above the eyebrows, with the chin strap forming a V below each ear. In high-humidity conditions (monsoon riding in Kolkata or Kochi), a snug, correctly fitted helmet is especially important.

Compatibility Notes

The Rivale MIPS meets international cycling safety certifications. Compatible with road cycling sunglasses — verify temple-arm clearance at the side vents before buying eyewear separately. Works across road and sportive disciplines. Replace after any significant impact regardless of visible damage; UV exposure on Indian roads accelerates foam ageing, so aim to replace every five years minimum.

Pairs Well With

Complete your setup with road cycling sunglasses (check vent compatibility), a lightweight cycling cap worn underneath for sweat management during monsoon rides, a quality rear visibility light for early morning training, and breathable road cycling jersey fabric suited to 35°C+ Indian summers.
