Road Elite Link Brake Kit

The Jagwire Road Elite Link Brake Kit brings precision cable management and consistent stopping power to road cyclists who demand reliability across India's varied terrain — from rain-soaked Mumbai streets and steep Lonavala descents to the dusty corridors of Rajasthan and humid coastal routes near Chennai. Engineered to reduce friction at every cable junction, it is a meaningful upgrade over stock housing systems.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

India's riding conditions are hard on brake systems. Monsoon humidity corrodes standard cable housings quickly, while sustained Ghat descents demand consistent cable tension and responsive modulation. The Road Elite Link design reduces friction through its link-style housing segments, translating lever input into precise, predictable braking. For riders regularly tackling the Western Ghats, Coorg climbs, or Ooty hairpins, this kit is a worthwhile and practical improvement over factory-fitted cables.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a cable and housing kit, not a caliper — so fit refers to compatibility, not body sizing. Confirm your brake lever and caliper type before ordering: the kit suits standard road brake systems. Indian riders in high-humidity zones like Kolkata or Kochi should inspect housing ends seasonally for moisture ingress and corrosion at cable entry points.

Compatibility Notes

Designed for road bike brake systems with standard cable pull. Compatible with most road callipers and brake levers from Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo. Not suitable for hydraulic disc systems. Check housing length requirements against your frame's cable routing — internal routing frames may require additional length. Replace cables and housing together for best results.

Pairs Well With

Complete the upgrade with quality road brake calipers, compatible brake pads matched to your rim type (alloy or carbon), precision cable cutters for a clean installation, and bar tape to finish the cockpit.
