Roam MIPS MTB Helmet

Mountain biking in India demands a helmet that handles both the technical demands of trail riding and the relentless heat of the subcontinent. The MET Roam MIPS MTB Helmet is built for exactly this — an MTB-specific design with extended rear coverage, a ventilation system suited to 35°C+ conditions, and MIPS rotational impact protection that makes a real safety difference on India's unpredictable terrain. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Time in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Ventilated construction for 35°C+ Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai training rides.

Race day. Aerodynamic profile and certified safety standards for competitive efforts.

Long endurance rides. Comfort-first padding and adjustable retention for full-day rides.

Our Take

For trail riders tackling the Western Ghats, the rocky descents around Lonavala, or the dusty singletracks near Pune and Hyderabad, the MET Roam MIPS delivers where it counts. The MIPS liner adds genuine rotational protection without compromising ventilation. At Rs. 10,999, this is a serious piece of safety kit that doesn't ask you to choose between protection and comfort in Indian heat. A confident recommendation for riders who spend real time off-road.

Sizing for Indian Riders

MET sizing follows European standards: S fits 51–55cm, M fits 55–59cm, and L fits 55–59cm — measure at the forehead before ordering. Indian riders often find European helmets sit slightly higher due to head-shape differences, so if you're between sizes, size up. In high-humidity conditions like Chennai or Kolkata monsoon season, a snug but breathable fit prevents the helmet from shifting on wet hair.

Compatibility Notes

The Roam MIPS is designed for MTB and trail use, not road racing or time trialling. It includes a visor for sun and trail debris management — verify clearance with your preferred cycling sunglasses before purchasing. Certified to international safety standards. Replace after any significant impact, even without visible external damage.

Pairs Well With

Complete your trail setup with MTB-specific cycling sunglasses that clear the visor, a moisture-wicking cycling cap for sweat management under the helmet, a quality MTB hydration pack for longer rides, and a rear light for low-light visibility on early morning or evening rides.
