SC 40 Wheelset

Indian roads demand wheels that can handle everything from smooth Pune expressway tarmac to potholed city streets and monsoon-soaked patches in a single outing. The Vision SC 40 Wheelset is built for riders who want a meaningful performance upgrade — one that improves responsiveness, aerodynamic efficiency, and overall ride quality without sacrificing durability where it counts.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable rim and reliable hub bearings for repeat training use.

Race day. Aerodynamic depth and weight-optimised construction for competitive efforts.

All-rounder. Versatile depth and width for road, gravel, or all-road riding.

Our Take

At Rs. 1,25,900, the Vision SC 40 Wheelset is a serious investment — and a serious performer. For Indian conditions, the 40mm profile strikes a practical balance: aero enough to deliver real speed gains on flat stretches like the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, yet manageable in crosswinds on open Deccan plateau roads. The optimised bearing placement makes for smooth, efficient rolling — exactly what weekend Ghat climbers heading to Lonavala or Khandala will appreciate.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Wheelset fit comes down to three checks: axle standard (QR 130/135mm or thru-axle 12x100/12x142mm), brake type (rim or disc — Centerlock or 6-bolt), and cassette body (Shimano HG, SRAM XDR, or Campagnolo). In India's heat and wet monsoon conditions, confirm tubeless compatibility with your frame's tyre clearance before ordering. Get all three right and installation is straightforward.

Compatibility Notes

Verify your frame's axle standard and brake interface before ordering. Tubeless-ready rims require tubeless-compatible tyres, sealant, and valves — none are included. Rim brake variants need correct pad compound matched to the rim surface. Check Vision's recommended service intervals for hub bearings and follow torque specifications on all axle hardware.

Pairs Well With

Complete your wheel upgrade with tubeless-ready performance tyres suited to the rim width, quality tubeless sealant and valve stems, a calibrated torque wrench for correct installation, and disc brake rotors in your preferred standard if running a disc setup.
