Scratch M5 Space

The Prologo Scratch M5 Space is a performance-oriented saddle built for riders who spend serious hours in the saddle. Whether you are grinding the Western Ghats on a Sunday morning or logging weekday kilometres through Chennai or Pune's traffic, a saddle that works with your body rather than against it changes everything. The Space channel design is the detail that earns its place on a hot-weather build.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

In 35°C+ heat across Indian cities, a saddle's channel geometry and cover breathability matter as much as its shape. The Scratch M5 Space's central relief channel reduces perineal pressure on long climbs — think Lonavala or Ooty ascents where you are seated and pushing for an hour straight. This is a performance saddle that does not ask you to suffer unnecessarily. Allow five to six rides before forming a final opinion; position refinement makes a real difference.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Prologo saddles typically come in two to three width options. Indian riders generally fall in the 130–155mm sit-bone range. To measure: sit on firm cardboard, stand up, and measure between the two dimple marks, then add approximately 25mm. In humid conditions common to Kolkata or coastal Chennai, a narrower saddle with good channel airflow often outperforms a wider, heavily padded option.

Compatibility Notes

The Scratch M5 Space uses standard 7×7mm rail geometry, fitting the vast majority of road and gravel seatposts. Confirm your seatpost clamp is rated for the rail material on this saddle. Common frame seatpost diameters of 27.2mm, 30.9mm, and 31.6mm are all widely compatible. Use a torque wrench and follow the seatpost manufacturer's values to avoid rail damage.

Pairs Well With

Complete your setup with quality padded bib shorts for long-distance comfort on rough Indian roads, a carbon or alloy seatpost matched to your frame, chamois cream for monsoon-season and humid rides, and a lightweight saddle bag for essentials on Coorg or Leh touring routes.
