Scultura 100

The Merida Scultura 100 is a complete road bike built around an aluminium frame and Shimano Claris groupset, making it one of the most accessible entry points into serious road cycling. Whether you are tackling the climbs above Lonavala, logging weekend kilometres on the Chennai–Mahabalipuram coastal road, or building a base on Pune's expressway routes, this bike delivers a coherent, performance-oriented package at a price that makes sense in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

For Indian riders stepping up from recreational cycling to structured training, the Scultura 100 strikes a convincing balance. The aluminium frame keeps the price attainable without sacrificing stiffness, while the Claris groupset gives you eight gears — enough for the gradients of the Western Ghats or the Nilgiris. Rim brakes demand attentive technique in wet monsoon conditions, so factor that into your riding style and tyre choice.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Merida sizing follows European conventions based on seat tube length. Indian riders tend to have proportionally shorter torsos relative to leg length, which can mean a smaller frame size than a height chart suggests. If you are between sizes, try both before committing. A professional bike fit in cities like Pune, Hyderabad, or Delhi will pay dividends in comfort on longer rides.

Compatibility Notes

The Scultura 100 ships as a complete bike with all major components installed. Pedals are not included — order flat, SPD, or SPD-SL pedals to match your shoes. Rim brake compatibility means standard brake pads and wheels are straightforward to source across India. A first-service check at 100km is strongly recommended.

Pairs Well With

Complete your setup with a quality road helmet for safety on fast descents, clip-in cycling shoes matched to your pedal choice, a compact saddle bag with puncture repair essentials, and a reliable floor pump for home tyre pressure management before every ride.
