Seat Pack 11l Saddle Bag

Self-supported cycling in India demands gear that can handle everything from the drenching monsoon descents of Lonavala to the dusty switchbacks above Ooty. The Ortlieb Seat Pack 11l Saddle Bag is built for exactly this — a waterproof, nylon-construction saddle pack that attaches securely under your saddle and carries 11 litres of essentials without shifting a millimetre on rough Indian roads.

Use Cases

Daily training. All-day comfort across 2-3 hour training rides in Indian conditions.

Race day. Race-cut profile with cutout for time-trial and aggressive fit positions.

Long endurance rides. Pressure-relief construction for rides exceeding four hours.

Our Take

For bikepacking the Western Ghats or running a loaded century out of Pune or Hyderabad, the Ortlieb Seat Pack 11l is a dependable choice. The waterproof nylon construction handles sustained monsoon rain without hesitation, the single-compartment design keeps packing honest, and the reflective detailing adds genuine safety value on Indian roads after dark. At Rs. 12,999, it's a serious piece of kit that earns its place on every loaded ride.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a volume-based product, not a body-size one — 11 litres suits two-to-three-day bikepacking loads or generous day-ride carries. Fit to your saddle depends on rail width and seat post clearance; most road, hybrid, mountain, and e-bike saddles are compatible. In Indian summer heat above 35°C, avoid overpacking — airflow beneath the saddle matters for comfort on long climbs.

Compatibility Notes

The Ortlieb Seat Pack 11l attaches via adjustable straps to saddle rails, making it broadly compatible with road, hybrid, mountain, and electric bikes. The included backpack strap allows off-bike carrying. Confirm rail spacing and seat post clearance before ordering. Clean strap attachment points with a damp cloth after monsoon rides to prevent grit buildup on the securing hardware.

Pairs Well With

Complete your bikepacking or long-distance setup by pairing this saddle pack with a frame bag for tools and snacks, a handlebar roll for sleeping kit, a compact multi-tool and spare tube, and a waterproof cycling jacket for Ghats or Himalayan descents. All categories available at Cobbled Climbs.
