Service Core Stem

A stem might seem like a minor component, but it fundamentally shapes your riding position, handling feel, and long-term comfort. The Zipp Service Core Stem brings precision engineering to one of the most critical contact points on your bike — relevant whether you're grinding up the Western Ghats, navigating Pune's patched roads, or logging early-morning kilometres through Delhi's summer heat.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable construction for repeat use.

Race day. Lightweight, stiff design for power transfer and aerodynamics.

Fit adjustment. Right stem length critical for comfortable bike fit.

Our Take

The Zipp Service Core Stem is a well-considered choice for Indian road cyclists who want reliable, accurate geometry at a sensible price. Zipp's attention to manufacturing tolerances means your reach and stack measurements are what they should be — no flex, no play. On India's varied road surfaces, where vibration and sudden inputs are routine, a stem that holds position and transfers steering input faithfully is worth every rupee. Solid everyday performance from a brand known for precision.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Stem length and angle directly affect reach and stack. Indian riders with a shorter torso-to-arm ratio often find shorter stems (70–90mm) more comfortable for longer rides in heat above 35°C, as an aggressive stretch compounds fatigue. If you ride in Coorg, Ooty, or Lonavala regularly, a slightly more upright position aids breathing on extended climbs. When in doubt, size conservatively and adjust saddle position to compensate.

Compatibility Notes

The Zipp Service Core Stem is designed for road use with a standard 31.8mm handlebar clamp diameter. It is compatible with most modern road forks using a standard steerer. Verify your fork steerer diameter before ordering. Use a calibrated torque wrench during installation and follow Zipp's specified torque values — do not estimate by feel, particularly with aluminium bars.

Pairs Well With

Complete your cockpit setup with a quality road handlebar in the correct width for your shoulder span, reliable bar tape suited to humid riding conditions like those in Chennai or Kolkata, a stem cap and top bolt set for a clean finish, and cycling gloves for added grip and vibration absorption on rough surfaces.
