Skf Viper Seal Kit

Fork seals are the unsung workhorses of any suspension system. Riding India's varied terrain — from Pune's broken tarmac to the loose gravel of Coorg trails — puts real stress on your fork's lower leg seals. The Rock Shox SKF Viper Seal Kit is a precision service component designed to restore smooth, consistent suspension performance during routine maintenance intervals. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Rockshox in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

India's riding conditions are genuinely hard on suspension seals. Dust from highway shoulders, monsoon grit, and the relentless heat of a Hyderabad or Chennai summer accelerate seal wear faster than European or North American riding conditions assume. The SKF Viper Seal Kit uses high-quality SKF-sourced seals that offer noticeably better dirt exclusion and lower friction than standard Rock Shox foam ring setups. If you're servicing your fork at home, this is the kit worth specifying.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a fork seal service kit, not a sized apparel item — but compatibility sizing matters here. The SKF Viper Seal Kit is available for specific Rock Shox fork stanchion diameters. Before ordering, confirm your Rock Shox fork model and stanchion diameter from your fork's crown or manual. Contact Cobbled Climbs if you need help identifying the correct variant for your fork.

Compatibility Notes

Designed specifically for Rock Shox forks — compatible models vary by stanchion diameter, so verify your fork model before purchase. The kit includes both the SKF wiper seal and foam rings. Not compatible with non-Rock Shox forks. Installation requires basic suspension service tools and clean workshop conditions. Refer to the Rock Shox service manual for your specific fork model.

Pairs Well With

Complete your suspension service with a suspension-specific lubricant or bath oil, a lower leg service kit, a fork bleed kit for damper maintenance, and a torque wrench for reinstalling lower leg bolts to spec. All available at Cobbled Climbs.
