Sonar Road Cycling Helmet

At Rs. 6,999, the Gist Sonar Road Cycling Helmet enters a competitive price bracket where ventilation quality and secure fit matter as much as certification. Built for adults who ride regularly — whether training on Pune's Sinhagad climbs, commuting through Chennai traffic, or chasing weekend groups in Delhi — this helmet aims to keep your head cool and protected when temperatures push past 35°C.

Use Cases

Daily training. Ventilated construction for 35°C+ Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai training rides.

Race day. Aerodynamic profile and certified safety standards for competitive efforts.

Long endurance rides. Comfort-first padding and adjustable retention for full-day rides.

Our Take

The Sonar's ventilation system is its headline feature for Indian riders who know what sustained heat feels like on a long climb toward Khandala or Ooty. The adjustable retention system means you can dial in a secure fit without fuss, which matters when you hit rough tarmac or monsoon-slicked descents. At this price, it's a practical, safety-certified entry into performance road helmets — a sensible first upgrade from a basic commuter lid.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Measure your head circumference at the forehead, just above the eyebrows. Standard sizing runs S=51–55cm, M=55–59cm, L=59–63cm, but head shapes vary and European sizing can run narrow. If you fall between sizes, size up and use the retention system to tighten. The helmet should sit level, one finger above your eyebrows — not tilted back — with the chin strap forming a V under each ear.

Compatibility Notes

Certified to international safety standards. Compatible with most road cycling sunglasses — check temple arm clearance if you wear wide-frame eyewear. Works with standard cycling caps worn underneath for sweat absorption during monsoon or hot-weather rides. Replace immediately after any significant impact, even when external damage is not visible.

Pairs Well With

Complete your road setup with cycling sunglasses offering UV400 protection, a lightweight moisture-wicking cycling cap for sweat management, a compact rear LED light for visibility on busy Indian roads, and a quality pair of road cycling gloves for all-day comfort on longer rides.
