Sonic 9 Road Cleats (0 Deg Float)

The Xpedo Sonic 9 Road Cleats with 0-degree float are designed for road cyclists who want a fixed, efficient foot position at the pedal interface. Zero float locks your foot in place, directing every watt of effort into forward motion — a choice favoured by competitive riders and those with well-dialled bike fits who ride the climbs of Lonavala, Ooty, or Coorg regularly. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Look in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Stiff sole and breathable upper for repeated training in Indian heat and humidity.

Race day. Power transfer and snug retention for competitive efforts.

Indoor training. Compatible with indoor trainer cleats for structured Zwift, TrainerRoad, or Wahoo SYSTM workouts.

Our Take

For Indian road cyclists who race or push hard on weekend group rides around Pune, Chennai, or Delhi, the Xpedo Sonic 9 Cleats in 0-degree float make good sense once your fit is confirmed. Zero float demands a precise cleat position — get it right and power transfer feels direct and confident. Get it wrong and knees will complain, especially on long summer rides in 35°C+ heat. Have your fit checked before committing to fixed float.

Sizing for Indian Riders

These are 3-bolt road cleats compatible with SPD-SL and Look-style shoe mounting patterns. Most road cycling shoes sold in India follow this standard, but confirm your shoe's cleat bed before ordering. Cleat position varies by foot anatomy — riders with wider feet common across Indian body types may need to position cleats slightly outboard for comfort on longer rides.

Compatibility Notes

The Xpedo Sonic 9 cleats are designed for Xpedo's Sonic 9 road pedal system using a 3-bolt road mounting pattern. They are not cross-compatible with SPD, Crank Brothers, or Speedplay systems. Replace cleats when contact surfaces show visible wear — worn cleats cause unreliable engagement and can release unexpectedly. Clean cleat grooves periodically after riding in monsoon grit or muddy road surfaces.

Pairs Well With

Complete your cleat setup with Xpedo Sonic 9 road pedals, a quality pair of 3-bolt road cycling shoes, a cleat alignment tool for precise positioning, and a small torque wrench to set bolts correctly. Spare cleats are also worth keeping in your kit bag.
