Special RIM Tape (2 Pcs)

Rim tape is one of the most overlooked components in a wheel build, yet it protects your inner tube or tubeless setup from spoke holes that can cause sudden punctures. The Vittoria Special RIM Tape (2 Pcs) brings Italian precision to this small but critical job, keeping your wheels ready for everything from Pune's potholed city roads to the descents of Lonavala and Khandala.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable rim and reliable hub bearings for repeat training use.

Race day. Aerodynamic depth and weight-optimised construction for competitive efforts.

All-rounder. Versatile depth and width for road, gravel, or all-road riding.

Our Take

Rim tape failures cause flats at the worst possible moments — mid-climb on the Western Ghats or deep into a Coorg gran fondo. Vittoria's rim tape offers a clean, reliable seal across spoke holes, and the two-piece pack means you have both wheels covered in one purchase. At Rs. 399, it is a sensible, low-cost insurance policy for any rider who takes wheel integrity seriously in Indian heat and humidity.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Rim tape is selected by rim width, not rider size. Measure your rim's internal width before ordering to ensure a snug fit — tape that is too narrow will not cover spoke holes fully, while tape that is too wide may bunch and cause uneven tube seating. Most road rims in common use across India fall into standard sizing categories, so verify your rim's internal dimensions first.

Compatibility Notes

Suitable for clincher and tubeless-ready rim setups. Ensure the tape width matches your rim's internal channel width for a proper seal. Compatible with standard valve hole configurations. For tubeless applications, pair with a tubeless valve and sealant. Replace rim tape whenever you service the wheel or notice any cracking or lifting at the edges.

Pairs Well With

Complete your wheel service kit with tubeless valves, tyre sealant, a quality floor pump with pressure gauge, and puncture repair kit essentials. These additions keep you rolling confidently on long rides from Chennai's Marina coastal roads to Delhi's fast training circuits.
