Speedplay AERO Pedals

The Wahoo Speedplay AERO Pedals are purpose-built road pedals that sit at the serious end of the performance spectrum. Designed around the iconic Speedplay four-bolt cleat system, they offer a low stack height, double-sided entry, and a floating cleat design that protects knees on long days in the saddle — exactly what climbers tackling the Ghats or riders covering 150-kilometre Pune–Nashik loops need. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Look in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable cleat retention and bearing durability for repeat training use.

Race day. Lightweight design and clean release for competitive efforts.

Indoor training. Smooth float and compatibility with indoor trainer setups.

Our Take

At Rs. 22,980, the Speedplay AERO asks you to commit to an ecosystem, but rewards that commitment with effortless clip-in from either side — a genuine advantage on technical descents in Coorg or Ooty where confidence at the bottom of a switchback matters. The aerodynamic profile is a real, measurable gain for time triallists and fast-group riders in Delhi and Hyderabad. Heat at 35°C+ does not affect engagement or float feel noticeably, making these a strong year-round choice.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Speedplay uses a four-bolt cleat pattern, distinct from the three-bolt SPD-SL or Look standard. Confirm your road shoes carry four-bolt Speedplay compatibility before ordering — many European performance shoes do, but verify the spec sheet. Riders with a history of knee discomfort in hot, humid conditions should start with a mid-range float setting rather than fixed zero-float cleats.

Compatibility Notes

Standard 9/16-inch left and right axle threading fits virtually all road crank arms. Requires dedicated Speedplay four-bolt cleats — not compatible with SPD-SL, Look Kéo, or two-bolt MTB cleats. Stainless steel construction handles monsoon moisture well; wipe and dry after wet rides. Service bearings periodically and replace cleats when lateral play becomes noticeable.

Pairs Well With

Complete your contact-point setup with Speedplay-compatible road cycling shoes, replacement Speedplay cleats (keep a spare set for race day), quality cycling socks for long summer rides, and a torque wrench for precise cleat bolt installation. All available at Cobbled Climbs with free delivery above Rs. 2,500.
