Sport Semi Metallic DISC Brake Pad for Avid Bb7 & Juicy

Designed specifically for Avid BB7 mechanical disc and Juicy hydraulic brake systems, the Jagwire Sport Semi Metallic Disc Brake Pad delivers consistent stopping power across the demanding conditions Indian riders face — from monsoon-slicked roads to long, punishing descents through the Western Ghats and the ghats around Ooty and Coorg.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

Semi-metallic compound strikes a practical balance between organic softness and full-sintered aggression, making these pads well-suited to India's varied riding demands. In the wet monsoon months or on the steep drops around Lonavala and Khandala, where brake fade can become a real concern, this compound's heat tolerance and bite consistency give you genuine confidence without destroying rotors prematurely. A smart, cost-effective upgrade for Avid-equipped bikes.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Brake pads don't follow clothing sizes, but fitment precision matters just as much. These pads are cut specifically for Avid BB7 and Juicy calipers — confirm your caliper model before ordering. Indian riders running aftermarket calipers or mixed-brand setups should double-check compatibility. Rotor size (140, 160, or 180mm) does not affect pad fitment, only caliper model does.

Compatibility Notes

Engineered for Avid BB7 mechanical disc and Juicy series hydraulic calipers. Semi-metallic compound is compatible with standard steel rotors — do not use on carbon-specific rotor surfaces. Inspect rotor thickness and surface condition before fitting new pads. Clean rotor with isopropyl alcohol after installation to remove any contamination. Replace pads in axle pairs for even braking.

Pairs Well With

Round out your braking system with a quality disc brake rotor in the correct diameter, stainless brake cables or hydraulic hose for Avid systems, a bleed kit if you're running Juicy hydraulics, and a torque wrench for precise caliper bolt installation. Available across India with free delivery on orders above Rs. 2,500.
