Spry Flat Pedals

The Xpedo Spry is a flat pedal built for riders who want direct, unclipped contact with their bike — ideal for mountain trails, casual road rides, and urban commuting across India. Constructed from aluminium and stainless steel, it offers a stable platform with grip pins that keep your foot planted whether you're navigating Pune's crater-filled roads or descending a Coorg forest trail.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable cleat retention and bearing durability for repeat training use.

Race day. Lightweight design and clean release for competitive efforts.

Indoor training. Smooth float and compatibility with indoor trainer setups.

Our Take

Flat pedals often get overlooked, but for MTB riders and those still building confidence on technical terrain, they make genuine sense. The Xpedo Spry's metal construction handles India's punishing heat and monsoon-season grime better than many plastic-bodied alternatives. The grip-pin platform gives confident foot placement on sweaty summer rides above 35°C, which is a real consideration across Hyderabad, Chennai, and Ahmedabad from March through June.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Flat pedals are one-size-fits-all in terms of axle threading — the standard 9/16-inch axle fits virtually every crank arm. However, platform size matters for foot coverage. Riders with larger feet (EU 44+) should confirm the platform dimensions suit them. Pair with any flat-sole MTB or casual shoe — no cleat system required.

Compatibility Notes

The Xpedo Spry uses the standard 9/16-inch threaded axle compatible with almost all adult crank arms. No cleat system is involved — simply install and ride. Available in Silver and White. Suitable for mountain, downhill, and road applications. Clean grip pins periodically to remove mud and grit accumulated on Indian trails.

Pairs Well With

Complete your flat-pedal setup with flat-sole MTB or trail shoes for maximum grip, a quality multi-tool for installation, handlebar grips suited to trail riding, and a waterproof saddle bag for monsoon rides.
