Stamp 1 Large Platform Pedal

The Crank Brothers Stamp 1 Large Platform Pedal is built for riders who want a wide, grippy platform without committing to a clipless system. Whether you are threading trails around Coorg, tackling loose gravel near Pune, or exploring the forests outside Hyderabad, the large platform size gives your foot a confident, stable base on every surface.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable cleat retention and bearing durability for repeat training use.

Race day. Lightweight design and clean release for competitive efforts.

Indoor training. Smooth float and compatibility with indoor trainer setups.

Our Take

For Indian trail riders and commuters who prefer flat pedals, the Stamp 1 Large is a genuinely capable choice. The larger platform suits riders with bigger feet and provides better support on technical terrain. In the heat of a Chennai summer or during monsoon descents near Lonavala, grip and mud-shedding matter more than shaving grams — and the Stamp 1 Large delivers on both counts. A solid entry-level option selected for Indian conditions.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Platform pedals need no cleat compatibility check — just confirm your crank arms accept a standard 9/16-inch axle thread, which covers almost all adult bicycles sold in India. The Large size suits shoe sizes approximately EU 40 and above. Riders with wider feet common among Indian cyclists will find the extra platform area particularly welcome on longer climbs.

Compatibility Notes

The Stamp 1 uses a standard 9/16-inch threaded axle compatible with virtually all adult crank arms. No cleats are required. The concave platform and pins work with any flat-soled or MTB shoe. Clean the pin threads periodically — Indian road dust and monsoon grit can clog them over time. Pins are replaceable if worn.

Pairs Well With

Complete your flat-pedal setup with MTB or trail shoes offering a grippy rubber sole, moisture-wicking cycling socks suited to India's heat, a durable multi-tool for trail-side pin adjustments, and a quality chain lubricant to keep your drivetrain running cleanly through monsoon riding.
