Stamp 1 Small Platform Pedal

The Crank Brothers Stamp 1 Small Platform Pedal is a flat pedal built for riders who want confident foot placement without the commitment of a clipless system. Sized specifically for smaller feet, it offers a wide, stable platform ideal for trail riding, casual touring, and anyone transitioning into mountain biking on India's varied terrain.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable cleat retention and bearing durability for repeat training use.

Race day. Lightweight design and clean release for competitive efforts.

Indoor training. Smooth float and compatibility with indoor trainer setups.

Our Take

For riders exploring the rocky descents of Coorg, the dusty forest roads outside Pune, or weekend trail sessions in the Aravalli hills near Delhi, the Stamp 1 Small rewards precise foot positioning without punishing an accidental dab. The compact platform suits riders with smaller feet particularly well, and the pin grip is confident even on wet, gritty surfaces during the monsoon. At Rs. 4,450, it is a practical upgrade over stock pedals.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The Small platform is intended for roughly EU 36–40 shoe sizes, making it a strong choice for many Indian women riders and younger riders. Flat pedals fit any standard 9/16-inch crank arm — no cleat system to match. In India's 35°C+ summer heat, open platform pedals also allow better ventilation than clipless setups when walking off the bike.

Compatibility Notes

The Stamp 1 uses a standard 9/16-inch threaded axle, compatible with virtually all adult crank arms. It is a flat platform pedal — no cleats required. Works with any flat-soled MTB or casual shoe. Clean the pins and axle area periodically if riding through monsoon mud or Rajasthan dust to maintain smooth bearing action.

Pairs Well With

Complete your flat-pedal setup with MTB flat shoes for grip, trail gloves for control on technical descents, a quality multi-tool for trail-side adjustments, and a durable MTB helmet suited to India's warm riding conditions.
