Strattos S2

The Polygon Strattos S2 is a road bike built around a Shimano Claris groupset and rim brakes, making it a focused entry into structured road riding. At Rs. 63,990, it sits at a compelling price point for riders in Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Chennai who want a dedicated road platform without compromising on component quality or frame engineering.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

The Strattos S2 is Polygon's answer to riders who want a genuine road bike experience without a five-figure-plus premium. The Shimano Claris groupset is dependable and easy to service — a real advantage across Indian cities where specialist mechanics aren't always close by. The aluminium and carbon construction keeps weight reasonable for climbs like Lonavala or the Coorg hills, and the rim brake setup is straightforward to maintain in dry and moderate conditions.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Polygon sizing follows seat tube length and S/M/L conventions. Indian riders tend to have shorter torsos relative to leg length compared to European averages, so check reach figures carefully on the geometry chart. Riders between sizes should consider their riding style — size down for a sportier, more aggressive position; size up for longer weekend rides in greater comfort. A professional bike fit is strongly recommended.

Compatibility Notes

The Strattos S2 uses Shimano Claris with rim brakes — standard brake cable and pad replacements are widely available across India. Pedals are not included; choose SPD-SL or Look-compatible pedals to match your road cycling shoes. A first-service check after the initial 100 km is recommended to bed in cables and check bolt torques.

Pairs Well With

Complete this build with a road-specific helmet for safety on open highways, cycling shoes compatible with your chosen pedal system, a quality saddle if comfort on longer rides is a priority, and a floor pump with a pressure gauge for maintaining correct tyre pressure in varying Indian temperatures.
