Strattos S3

The Polygon Strattos S3 is a dedicated road bike built around an aluminium frame, Shimano Sora groupset, and rim brakes — a combination that delivers reliable, predictable performance for riders stepping into structured road cycling. At Rs. 65,990, it sits at a compelling entry point for serious training without overcomplicating the ownership experience.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

For riders based in Pune, Hyderabad, or Chennai who want to tackle regular training loops and the occasional Lonavala or Ooty climb, the Strattos S3 makes a strong case. The Sora groupset is dependable and easy to maintain at any local bike shop. The aluminium frame keeps things stiff where it counts on smooth stretches, and the rim brake setup is simple to service — a real advantage across India's diverse road conditions.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Polygon follows standard European road sizing based on seat tube length. Indian riders tend to have shorter torsos relative to overall height, so if you are between sizes, sizing down typically produces a more controlled fit. In 35°C+ conditions common across Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad, a slightly relaxed position reduces fatigue. Always cross-reference the Polygon geometry chart and consider a professional bike fit.

Compatibility Notes

The Strattos S3 uses Shimano Sora, a 9-speed groupset compatible with standard road double chainring setups. Rim brakes accept universal brake pads. Pedals are not included — order separately based on your cleat system (SPD-SL, Look, or flat). First service after the initial 100km is strongly recommended to check cable stretch and brake alignment.

Pairs Well With

Round out your setup with a quality road helmet for safety on fast descents, clipless road pedals matched to your shoe system, a fitted cycling jersey and bib shorts for long days in the saddle, and a track pump for consistent tyre pressure before every ride.
