Super Secret All Weather Wax Chain Lube

India's roads demand serious drivetrain care. From the red laterite dust of Coorg to the relentless monsoon downpours soaking Pune's Katraj Ghat, chains face conditions that destroy mediocre lubricants fast. Silca's Super Secret All Weather Wax Chain Lube is a wax-based formula engineered to stay clean, repel water, and keep friction low through whatever Indian riding throws at your drivetrain.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable chain construction for repeat training use.

Race day. Optimised chain for clean shifting and minimal drivetrain friction.

Replacement intervals. Replace at chain stretch to protect cassette and chainring wear.

Our Take

Wax lubes have earned their place in performance cycling, but many dry out quickly in Indian heat or wash off in the monsoon. Silca's All Weather formulation holds its ground in both — the wax matrix bonds to chain plates and rollers, shedding road grime rather than trapping it. For riders tackling the Western Ghats or commuting daily through Chennai's coastal humidity, this is the kind of lube that genuinely extends drivetrain life and reduces that familiar grinding sound after a wet ride.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a lubricant, so sizing does not apply. Apply one drop per chain link, backpedal to work the wax into the rollers, then wipe off excess before riding. In intense heat above 35°C — common in Delhi, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad summers — allow a few minutes for the wax to cure on the chain before heading out.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with all chain speeds — road, gravel, and MTB drivetrains. Safe for use around carbon fibre, alloy, and titanium components. Do not mix with oil-based wet lubes without fully degreasing the chain first, as mixing wax and oil reduces the effectiveness of both products. Works best on a clean, dry chain.

Pairs Well With

Get the most from this lube by pairing it with a quality chain degreaser to strip old lubricant before application, a chain cleaning device for thorough roller cleaning, a set of drivetrain brushes for cassette and chainring maintenance, and a drip-tip applicator if your bottle does not include one.
