Super Secret Wax Chain Lube

India's roads — from the humid coastal stretches around Chennai and Kochi to the dusty climbs of Lonavala and the monsoon-soaked Western Ghats — demand chain lubrication that genuinely performs. The Silca Super Secret Wax Chain Lube is a hot-melt wax-based drip lube that bridges the gap between traditional drip lubes and full immersion waxing, offering measurably lower friction while keeping the drivetrain clean in challenging conditions.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable chain construction for repeat training use.

Race day. Optimised chain for clean shifting and minimal drivetrain friction.

Replacement intervals. Replace at chain stretch to protect cassette and chainring wear.

Our Take

For Indian riders battling 35°C+ summers and four months of monsoon grime, a quality wax chain lube is one of the smartest investments on the bike. Silca's Super Secret formula uses a blend of fine wax particles in a carrier fluid that penetrates the chain's rollers and then dries, leaving a hard wax coating that repels dirt rather than attracting it. In dusty conditions around Pune or Hyderabad, this means fewer mid-ride drivetrain crunches and significantly extended chain life.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a chain lubricant — no sizing applies. One bottle treats chains across all road, gravel, and MTB drivetrains regardless of speed count. If you are unsure how much product you need for regular maintenance through an Indian monsoon season, contact the Cobbled Climbs team for guidance on how frequently to reapply in your specific riding region and conditions.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with all bicycle chains — road, gravel, mountain, and urban drivetrains across all major manufacturers including Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo. Safe for use on carbon-equipped bikes. Shake well before each application. Allow the carrier fluid to fully dry before riding — approximately 15–20 minutes — so the wax coating can set properly. Not a wet lube; clean chain thoroughly before first application for best results.

Pairs Well With

For a complete drivetrain care routine, consider pairing this wax lube with a chain cleaning device, a quality degreaser for pre-wax prep, a set of drivetrain brushes for cassette and chainring cleaning, and a chain wear indicator tool to track when replacement is due.
