Synthetic Lube

India's riding conditions are hard on drivetrains. Dust on Pune's Sinhagad climbs, monsoon grime on Chennai's coastal roads, and the relentless heat of Delhi summers all accelerate chain wear and corrosion. A quality synthetic lubricant is one of the most cost-effective investments a cyclist can make — protecting components that cost far more to replace than to maintain. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Blub in India.

Use Cases

Wet conditions. Wet lube for monsoon and humid Mumbai, Goa, and Bengaluru riding.

Dry conditions. Dry lube for clean drivetrain in Delhi, Hyderabad summer conditions.

Race day. Low-friction wax-based lubes for competitive efforts.

Our Take

Blub Synthetic Lube is a practical, no-fuss choice for Indian riders who want reliable drivetrain protection without overthinking it. Synthetic formulas generally hold up better than mineral-based lubes in high-heat conditions above 35°C and resist wash-off during Hyderabad or Mumbai monsoon rides. For weekly maintenance across all riding disciplines — road, gravel, or MTB — this is a dependable option selected for Indian conditions.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Lubricants are a universal fit, but application matters. In India's heat, a thin, even application prevents excess lube attracting dust and forming abrasive paste on the chain. During dry summer riding in Rajasthan or Ahmedabad, apply sparingly. During monsoon season, reapply more frequently — weekly is a sound baseline for most riders.

Compatibility Notes

Blub Synthetic Lube is suitable for use on bicycle chains across road, MTB, and gravel drivetrains. Compatible with derailleur systems from leading component brands. Verify suitability for ceramic-coated chains by checking the product label. All Blub products at Cobbled Climbs are 100% genuine and sourced through authorised channels.

Pairs Well With

For a complete maintenance setup, pair with a chain cleaning device, a set of component brushes for cassette and derailleur cleaning, a biodegradable degreaser for pre-lube chain preparation, and a bike workstand for easier at-home servicing.
