Tartan Bottle

Staying hydrated on long rides through Indian summers — whether climbing the Western Ghats above Lonavala, grinding through Pune's midday heat, or navigating Chennai's coastal humidity — is not optional. The Polar Tartan Bottle is built around this reality: keeping your water cooler for longer, fitting securely in standard cages, and giving you easy one-handed access when you need it most.

Use Cases

Daily training. On-bike hydration for road, gravel, or MTB training rides.

Long climbs. Reliable cage-compatible design for Western Ghats, Nilgiris, or Sahyadri climbs.

Race day. Quick-access valve and frame-cage compatibility for competitive efforts.

Our Take

Polar has long understood that hydration performance is not just about capacity — it is about how long your water stays drinkable. In 35°C+ Indian riding conditions, a standard bottle turns warm within minutes. The Tartan Bottle's insulated construction meaningfully extends that window, making it a genuinely practical choice for multi-hour summer rides. At Rs. 1,390 with free delivery above Rs. 2,500, it is a straightforward upgrade for Indian riders who take heat management seriously.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Bottle sizing for cycling is primarily about cage compatibility rather than body fit. Confirm that your frame's bottle cage mounting position accommodates the Tartan Bottle's dimensions. Riders using aero frames or compact road bikes — common among Bengaluru and Hyderabad club riders — should double-check clearance between the bottle and frame tubes before ordering.

Compatibility Notes

The Polar Tartan Bottle is designed to fit standard cycling bottle cages. Verify compatibility if you are using proprietary or oversized cages. The bottle is built from food-grade, BPA-free materials. Hand wash with a bottle brush and mild detergent; air dry inverted to prevent mildew, particularly important during India's monsoon months when humidity accelerates bacterial growth inside bottles.

Pairs Well With

Complete your hydration setup with a quality bottle cage (carbon or alloy), electrolyte sachets or tablets for long summer efforts, a saddle bag or top-tube bag for carrying spares on rides beyond Ooty or Coorg, and a second bottle for frame or cage pairing on extended routes.
