TDF Alpe D'Huez Cycling Cap

The Santini TDF Alpe D'Huez Cycling Cap is a collector-grade piece of cycling apparel that pays tribute to one of the most storied climbs in Tour de France history. Worn under a helmet or flipped up at a café stop, it brings European race culture to Indian roads — from the Ghats of Pune to the climbs above Ooty.

Use Cases

Under-helmet sweat management. Absorbs forehead sweat in 35°C+ heat across Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai conditions.

Sun protection. Peak shields the eyes and forehead from direct sun on long Indian summer rides.

Style and finish. Completes a coordinated kit for daily rides and group rides.

Our Take

Named after the legendary Alpe D'Huez stage, this cap carries genuine race pedigree. In India's 35°C+ summer heat, a well-made cycling cap under your helmet does real work — wicking sweat away from your eyes on a long Lonavala climb or shielding your forehead from the Chennai sun. The lilac colourway stands out in a sea of generic black kit, and Santini's performance fabrics hold up wash after wash without losing shape.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Santini caps follow European head circumference sizing. The range covers S/M through XL, so most Indian riders will find a fit. If your head circumference sits on the boundary between sizes, size up for a more comfortable under-helmet fit — especially important during humid monsoon rides when a snug cap can feel restrictive after a few hours.

Compatibility Notes

Designed to sit flat under any road or gravel helmet. The structured peak can be worn forward for sun protection or flipped up for ventilation. Machine washable at 30°C with mild detergent — hang dry and avoid fabric softener to preserve the technical moisture-wicking properties. Suits all riding disciplines.

Pairs Well With

Complete your kit by pairing this cap with a breathable road jersey, lightweight cycling sunglasses for UV protection on exposed climbs, a well-ventilated road helmet, and performance cycling socks. Browse all categories at Cobbled Climbs for coordinated Santini kit options.
