Powerset T47/T47a Uae Ceramic Shimano Bottom Bracket

The Bikone Powerset T47/T47A UAE Ceramic Shimano Bottom Bracket is built for road cyclists who demand low-friction, long-service-interval performance from their drivetrain. Using ceramic bearing technology in an aluminium shell, it fits the T47 and T47A threaded bottom bracket standard — one of the most installation-friendly formats available on modern road frames. Cobbled Climbs is the exclusive Indian distributor for Campagnolo in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable construction for repeat use.

Race day. Lightweight, stiff design for power transfer and aerodynamics.

Fit adjustment. Right stem length critical for comfortable bike fit.

Our Take

India's cycling scene is tough on bottom brackets — gritty roads from Pune to Hyderabad, monsoon humidity, and the grinding climbs of Lonavala or Coorg all punish standard steel bearings fast. Bikone's ceramic bearings spin with noticeably less drag and resist contamination better than conventional options. At Rs. 20,000, this is a considered purchase, but for riders logging serious kilometres, the reduced maintenance overhead makes sense.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is not a sizing question in the traditional sense — confirm your frame's bottom bracket shell standard is T47 or T47A before ordering. T47 suits most modern alloy and carbon road frames. Also verify your crankset is Shimano-compatible: 10-, 11-, or 12-speed Shimano road cranks are supported. When in doubt, check your frame's spec sheet or contact Cobbled Climbs.

Compatibility Notes

Designed specifically for Shimano road cranks using the T47 and T47A threaded shell standard. Not directly compatible with SRAM DUB, GXP, or Campagnolo cranks without an adapter. Ceramic bearings benefit from periodic inspection and regreasing — especially after monsoon riding. Use a proper T47 installation tool; avoid hammering to prevent bearing damage.

Pairs Well With

Complete your drivetrain build with a Shimano road crankset, a quality ceramic-compatible chain lubricant suited to Indian humidity, a torque wrench for correct installation, and a chain wear checker to protect your investment in premium components.
