Thickslick Comp 700c Wired Tire

The WTB Thickslick Comp Wired Tire is a slick urban and road tyre built for riders who want low rolling resistance on paved surfaces without sacrificing durability. Whether you're commuting through Pune's potholed stretches, logging training laps in Delhi, or spinning along Chennai's coastal roads, this wired bead tyre offers a dependable, affordable foundation for everyday riding.

Use Cases

Daily training. Puncture-resistant rubber compound for Indian roads with debris and rough tarmac.

Race day. Low rolling resistance and supple casing for competitive efforts.

Tubeless setup. Tubeless-ready bead and casing for sealant-based puncture resistance.

Our Take

India's city roads demand a tyre that rolls fast on decent tarmac yet doesn't self-destruct on an unexpected patch or speed bump. The Thickslick Comp delivers exactly that — a smooth, slick profile that cuts rolling resistance on flat urban roads while the Comp-level casing provides enough protection for daily use. At Rs. 2,390 with free delivery above Rs. 2,500 and COD available, it's a smart pick for city riders in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, or Kolkata looking to replace worn rubber without overspending.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The Thickslick Comp is available in standard wheel diameters including 700c for road and hybrid bikes. European tyre widths run true, so choose width based on your rim's internal width and frame clearance. For Indian urban roads with occasional rough patches, a wider width within the available range gives a more forgiving ride — and a lower inflation pressure suits the heat and varying surfaces better than running maximum PSI.

Compatibility Notes

This is a wired (clincher) bead tyre and requires a standard inner tube — it is not tubeless-ready. Confirm your rim is hooked-bead compatible, which covers the vast majority of road and hybrid wheels. Check frame tyre clearance before ordering a wider width. Clean and inspect the tyre monthly; remove embedded glass before it reaches the casing.

Pairs Well With

Complete your setup with a quality butyl inner tube in the matching size, a reliable mini pump or CO2 inflator for roadside repairs, a set of durable tyre levers for quick changes, and a track pump with a pressure gauge for accurate inflation at home.
