Thru-axle Adaptor

The Elite Thru-axle Adaptor bridges the gap between your direct-drive or wheel-on trainer and modern thru-axle equipped bikes. If your frame uses a thru-axle dropout rather than a quick-release, this adaptor makes your Elite trainer compatible without compromise — a small but essential piece of kit for any serious indoor training setup in India. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Cervelo in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

Indoor training is growing fast across Indian cities — from Chennai riders escaping peak summer heat to Delhi cyclists avoiding winter smog. The Elite Thru-axle Adaptor is a no-drama solution that gets modern bikes onto Elite trainers quickly and securely. It is the kind of component you buy once and forget about, which is exactly what a good adaptor should be. Solid construction, correct fit, zero excuses not to train.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Thru-axle standards vary by frame — the most common are 12x142mm for road and 12x148mm (Boost) for MTB. Check your frame's dropout spec before ordering. European bike brands popular in India, including Cervélo, Trek, and Specialized, largely standardised on 12x142mm road thru-axles. When in doubt, check your owner's manual or measure your current axle diameter and length.

Compatibility Notes

Designed for use with compatible Elite direct-drive and wheel-on trainers that accept thru-axle adaptors. Confirm your trainer model supports thru-axle conversion. Not all Elite trainers require this adaptor — check your trainer's included hardware first. Keep threads clean and apply a small amount of anti-seize if stored in humid, monsoon-season conditions.

Pairs Well With

Complete your indoor setup with an Elite direct-drive or wheel-on trainer, a quality training mat to protect your floor and reduce vibration, a front wheel riser block for level riding position, and a smart trainer-compatible speed or power sensor if needed. Available at Cobbled Climbs with free delivery on orders above Rs. 2,500.
