Tickr/tickr X Heart Rate Strap

Heart rate data is the foundation of smart training. Whether you are grinding up the Western Ghats, logging base miles on the Pune-Bangalore highway, or tracking intervals in Delhi's summer heat, the Wahoo TICKR and TICKR X heart rate straps give you accurate, real-Time cardiac data to train with purpose and measure genuine progress.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

India's riding conditions — 35°C+ summers in Chennai and Hyderabad, humidity-soaked monsoon rides in Coorg, and altitude-variable routes up to Leh — make heart rate monitoring especially valuable. Heat significantly raises cardiac load, and knowing your zones stops you from overcooking efforts. The Wahoo TICKR family broadcasts reliably over both ANT+ and Bluetooth, pairing to virtually every head unit or smartphone app Indian riders already use. At this price point, it is one of the most accessible and dependable training tools available.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The TICKR strap fits a wide chest circumference range and secures with a standard buckle closure — no European apparel sizing to worry about. Wear the strap directly against skin, positioned just below the chest muscles. In high-humidity conditions during monsoon rides or Coorg training camps, the strap's electrodes make better contact on slightly moistened skin, improving signal accuracy from the first kilometre.

Compatibility Notes

The Wahoo TICKR and TICKR X transmit over ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart simultaneously, making them compatible with Wahoo, Garmin, and Bryton head units, as well as iOS and Android training apps including Strava, TrainingPeaks, and Zwift. The TICKR X adds onboard memory and motion-based metrics. Rinse the strap with fresh water after sweaty rides; avoid machine washing the pod module.

Pairs Well With

To build a complete data-driven setup, consider pairing your TICKR strap with a dedicated cycling head unit, a speed and cadence sensor set, a handlebar or out-front mount, and a structured training subscription app. All available to browse at Cobbled Climbs.
