Description
The Northwave Tribute 2 is a performance road cycling shoe built for riders who demand efficient power transfer without sacrificing all-day comfort. Whether you are grinding the Ghats above Lonavala, pacing through Chennai's coastal heat, or logging early-morning kilometres in Pune, this shoe is designed to keep your feet working with you, not against you. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Look in India.
Use Cases
Daily training. Stiff sole and breathable upper for repeated training in Indian heat and humidity.
Race day. Power transfer and snug retention for competitive efforts.
Indoor training. Compatible with indoor trainer cleats for structured Zwift, TrainerRoad, or Wahoo SYSTM workouts.
Our Take
India's riding conditions push cycling footwear harder than most European reviews acknowledge. At 35°C+ — common in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Delhi summers — ventilation becomes critical. The Tribute 2's stiff sole channels power cleanly into each pedal stroke while its adjustable closure system locks the foot without hot spots. For Indian riders doing regular club rides or building toward their first century, this shoe hits a strong balance of performance and value at Rs. 15,390.
Sizing for Indian Riders
Northwave sizing generally follows EU standards and runs true to size, but Indian riders with broader forefeet — common across many regional foot shapes — should consider sizing up by half a size. Always try the shoes with the cycling socks you plan to ride in. In humid monsoon conditions around Mumbai or Kolkata, feet can swell slightly during long rides, making a slightly roomier fit worthwhile on longer efforts.
Compatibility Notes
The Tribute 2 accepts both 3-bolt cleats (SPD-SL / Look-compatible) and 2-bolt SPD cleats depending on the sole configuration — verify your pedal system before ordering, as cleats are sold separately. The shoe accommodates third-party insoles for custom fit refinement. BOA dial components, if present, are user-replaceable directly through Northwave. Wipe the upper clean after dusty rides on Indian roads and allow the shoe to air-dry fully between sessions to prevent odour build-up in humid climates.
Pairs Well With
Complete your contact-point setup with a matching set of clipless pedals, a pair of moisture-wicking performance cycling socks suited to Indian heat, neoprene shoe covers for monsoon commutes and wet-season rides, and a quality chamois or bib shorts for sustained comfort in the saddle.
