Ultegra 8000 Crank Bolt Cover

The Absolute Black Ultegra 8000 Crank Bolt Cover is a precision small part that finishes your Shimano Ultegra R8000 crankset cleanly and correctly. A detail-oriented upgrade for riders who care about how their bike looks and functions, this cover keeps the crank bolt protected from dust, grime, and the humidity that Indian riding seasons routinely deliver.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

Small parts matter more than most riders realise. The Absolute Black Ultegra 8000 Crank Bolt Cover protects the crank bolt from the dust of Pune's dry-season roads and the relentless moisture of a Chennai or Kolkata monsoon. Absolute Black's machining quality is visibly better than OEM plastic covers — tighter tolerances, cleaner finish, and no annoying rattle on rough tarmac. At Rs. 5,695, it is a considered purchase for a finishing detail.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This cover is specific to the Shimano Ultegra R8000 crankset — verify your crankset model before ordering. There is no European-to-Indian sizing conversion needed, but confirm your groupset generation: R8000 is distinct from older 6800 and newer R8100. One size fits the designated crankset. No heat or body-size considerations apply.

Compatibility Notes

Designed exclusively for Shimano Ultegra R8000 cranks. Not compatible with 105, Dura-Ace, or R8100-series cranks. Installation requires no special tools beyond a soft mallet or firm hand pressure. Clean the crank bolt recess before fitting to prevent trapped grit causing corrosion — especially important after monsoon rides.

Pairs Well With

Complete your drivetrain care kit by pairing this with a quality chain lubricant suited to Indian conditions, a crank puller tool, a torque wrench for crank bolt installation, and a drivetrain cleaning kit. All available at Cobbled Climbs.
