V4 Frameset

The Colnago V4 Frameset represents one of the most storied names in professional road racing applied to a modern carbon disc platform. Built for riders who treat frame selection as a deliberate, long-term decision, the V4 delivers a precise balance of stiffness, compliance, and weight that rewards both competitive racers and dedicated training cyclists across demanding terrain.

Use Cases

Race day. Aerodynamic and stiff construction for competitive efforts.

Daily training. Comfort and reliability for repeat training rides.

All-road and gravel. Versatile geometry for road, gravel, and all-road exploration in India.

Our Take

At Rs. 2,89,990, the Colnago V4 demands commitment — and returns it. Italian frame geometry translates exceptionally well to Indian riding: the disc brake platform is a genuine advantage on monsoon-soaked descents through the Western Ghats, and the carbon construction handles the heat of Pune and Hyderabad summer riding without the flex or fatigue that plagues lesser materials. This is a frame built to race, not to impress at a café stop.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Colnago uses seat tube length sizing — measure your inseam and torso carefully against the published geometry chart. Indian riders tend to have proportionally shorter torsos than the European fit model, so stack-to-reach ratio matters more than tube length alone. Between sizes? Favour the smaller for aggressive race positioning, larger for all-day comfort on Ooty or Coorg climbs. A professional bike fit is strongly recommended before finalising your order.

Compatibility Notes

The V4 is a disc-brake frameset — confirm your groupset and brake caliper standards before building. Verify bottom bracket standard, headset spec, seatpost diameter, and tyre clearance with Cobbled Climbs' build team. Component compatibility varies; consult the Colnago spec sheet directly or contact us for guided build advice before purchase.

Pairs Well With

Complete your V4 build with a quality disc wheelset, a matched carbon cockpit (bars and stem), a high-performance groupset such as Shimano Dura-Ace or SRAM Red AXS, and a professional saddle. Tubeless-ready tyres are recommended for Indian road surfaces. Browse compatible components at Cobbled Climbs.
