Vegetalex Tubeless Sealant

Indian roads demand more from a tubeless setup than almost anywhere else in the world. From the potholed city streets of Pune to the sharp-gravel descents of Coorg and the monsoon-soaked climbs of Lonavala, your sealant is your last line of defence. The Effetto Mariposa Vegetalex Tubeless Sealant is a plant-based formula built to plug punctures fast and keep rolling without the mess or toxicity of traditional latex sealants.

Use Cases

Spare on rides. Backup tube to carry on Indian rides where puncture risk is high.

Lightweight setup. TPU tubes for weight-conscious race day or competitive efforts.

Standard fitment. Butyl tubes for daily training and reliable long-term use.

Our Take

Vegetalex earns its place in any serious Indian rider's toolkit. The plant-derived formula coagulates quickly — critical when you hit a sharp piece of debris mid-climb on the Western Ghats with no bike shop in sight. It cleans up far more easily than standard latex, which matters in a country where temperatures regularly push past 35°C and sealant dries faster inside the tyre. For riders in Chennai, Hyderabad, or Delhi doing long summer miles, that quick-sealing action is genuinely reassuring.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Vegetalex is a sealant, not a tyre, so European sizing charts don't apply directly. What does matter is volume: wider tyres — the 38-45mm range popular on Indian gravel and mixed-surface riding — need more sealant than narrow road tyres. Check Effetto Mariposa's recommended fill volume for your tyre width and top up every three to four months, especially through the hot Ahmedabad or Delhi summers when evaporation accelerates.

Compatibility Notes

Vegetalex works with tubeless-ready road, gravel, and mountain bike tyres and rims. It is compatible with both hooked and hookless rim standards. Avoid mixing with other sealant brands inside the same tyre — drain and clean first. The formula is safe for aluminium, carbon, and steel valve stems. Shake the bottle well before use, and inject via a valve-core removal tool for cleanest installation.

Pairs Well With

Complete your tubeless setup with a quality tubeless valve kit, a tyre plug or bacon-strip puncture repair kit for roadside emergencies, a floor pump with a tubeless blast mode for seating beads, and a portable CO2 inflator for race-day peace of mind on fast descents.
