Velo 9 Cyclocomputer

The Cateye Velo 9 is a wired cyclocomputer built for riders who want straightforward, reliable ride data without the complexity of GPS or app pairing. At Rs. 1,590 with free delivery above Rs. 2,500, it is an accessible entry point for commuters, fitness riders, and weekend warriors across Pune, Chennai, and Hyderabad looking to track their progress on the road.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable navigation and ride tracking for structured training rides.

Race day. Real-time data display for power, heart rate, and pacing.

Long routes. Turn-by-turn navigation for unfamiliar Indian routes and destination rides.

Our Take

For Indian riders just starting to track performance, the Velo 9 delivers exactly what it promises: clean, accurate speed and distance data with no subscription, no charging anxiety, and no connectivity fuss. On steady training loops through Hyderabad's outskirts or Chennai's ECR, a wired computer simply works. In 35°C+ heat where touchscreens lag and Bluetooth drops, that reliability matters more than a spec sheet.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The Velo 9 is a universal-fit device — the bracket and sensor mount via zip ties and fit most road and MTB handlebar diameters. The spoke magnet works with standard wheel sizes common across Indian bikes. Verify your handlebar diameter before mounting; if unsure, Cobbled Climbs' team can advise before your order ships.

Compatibility Notes

The Velo 9 uses a wired speed sensor with a spoke magnet — no ANT+ or Bluetooth required. It is compatible with standard road and MTB wheel sizes. Battery is a CR2032 coin cell, widely available at any pharmacy across India. The display bracket fits standard and oversize handlebars with included shims.

Pairs Well With

Consider pairing the Velo 9 with a quality handlebar mount or out-front adapter for better visibility, a cadence sensor if your model supports it, a durable cycling bottle cage for long training rides, and a set of cycling gloves for comfort on rough Indian road surfaces.
