Velo-sling Bag

The Ortlieb Velo-sling Bag is built for Indian cyclists who demand more from their carry setup — whether it's a monsoon-season commute through Pune, a loaded day ride in the Nilgiris near Ooty, or a multi-day bikepacking route through the Western Ghats. Waterproof construction and versatile carry options make it a dependable companion across riding contexts.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

India's varied riding conditions — sudden downpours in Chennai, dusty roads outside Ahmedabad, and punishing climbs around Khandala — demand a bag that handles it all without complaint. The Velo-sling's synthetic and PVC construction keeps contents genuinely dry, while dual carry options (handle and crossbody strap) mean it transitions smoothly off the bike. For Rs. 7,399, this is a well-considered piece of kit for serious riders.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The Velo-sling is a bag rather than apparel, so fit is about bike compatibility rather than body sizing. It suits both hybrid and road bikes, mounting front or rear. Before ordering, confirm your handlebar diameter and available mounting points. Riders with compact cockpits on road bikes should check clearance carefully. Contact Cobbled Climbs for a quick compatibility check.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with hybrid and road bikes; mounts front or rear depending on your setup. Constructed from synthetic fabric and PVC for waterproof performance. Features built-in compartments, a handle, and a crossbody strap for off-bike carry. Verify handlebar diameter and mounting hardware before fitting. All Ortlieb products at Cobbled Climbs are 100% genuine and authorised.

Pairs Well With

Round out your carry setup with a compact multi-tool, a waterproof phone mount for navigation on Leh or Coorg routes, a frame bag for extra storage, and a set of puncture repair essentials for self-supported rides.
