Velociraptor Comp 26" Wired Tire

The WTB Velociraptor Comp Wired Tire is a mountain-focused tyre built for riders who demand reliable grip and durable performance across the mixed terrain and unpredictable road surfaces that define riding in India. Whether you're hitting singletrack near Pune, loose forest trails around Coorg, or rough hill descents in Ooty, this rigid-bead tyre is designed to hold its line when conditions get demanding.

Use Cases

Daily training. Puncture-resistant rubber compound for Indian roads with debris and rough tarmac.

Race day. Low rolling resistance and supple casing for competitive efforts.

Tubeless setup. Tubeless-ready bead and casing for sealant-based puncture resistance.

Our Take

The Velociraptor Comp earns its place as a dependable mountain tyre for Indian trail conditions. Its rigid wired bead keeps installation straightforward, and the tread pattern offers the kind of confident grip that matters on red-soil climbs and monsoon-softened trails alike. At Rs. 2,790 it sits in the value-performance bracket — a sensible choice for riders who clock consistent kilometres on varied terrain without replacing tyres every few months.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a mountain tyre with a rigid bead — verify the correct diameter and width against your rim before ordering. Mountain bike sizing conventions differ from road; confirm your wheel diameter (26in, 27.5in/650b, or 29in) carefully. Riders in hotter regions like Hyderabad or Chennai should ensure adequate tyre clearance for airflow and mud relief on monsoon trails.

Compatibility Notes

The Velociraptor Comp features a rigid wired bead, making it a tubed tyre setup — pair it with a compatible inner tube sized to match your wheel diameter and tyre width. It is designed for mountain bike use. Check your frame and fork tyre clearance before fitting, particularly on older hardtails with tighter tolerances.

Pairs Well With

Complete your mountain tyre setup with quality inner tubes matched to your wheel size, reliable tyre levers for trailside changes, a mini pump or CO2 inflator for emergency inflation, and a puncture repair kit for longer rides into remote terrain around Leh or the Western Ghats.
