Venta R 105 12s DISC Brake Road Bike

The Basso Venta R is an endurance road bike built on a carbon frame, paired with Shimano 105 12-speed disc brake groupset — a combination that brings genuine performance capability to riders who train seriously and race occasionally. At Rs. 2,56,990, it is a considered investment in a complete, ready-to-ride cycling platform engineered to handle varied terrain across India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

The Venta R strikes the right balance for Indian endurance riders — the carbon frame absorbs the harshness of patchy Pune-Lonavala climbs and Delhi expressways alike, while 105 12-speed disc brakes provide confident, consistent stopping in monsoon downpours and on steep Western Ghats descents. It is not a race-only machine; it is a capable all-season road bike that rewards long training blocks and ambitious weekend rides.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Basso sizing follows European conventions based on seat tube length. Indian riders tend to have shorter torsos relative to inseam, so try one size down if you are between sizes and prefer a more aggressive position, or size up for longer endurance rides. In Hyderabad or Chennai heat above 35°C, a slightly upright fit also reduces fatigue on extended rides. A professional bike fit is strongly recommended.

Compatibility Notes

The Venta R ships as a complete build with Shimano 105 12-speed hydraulic disc brakes. Pedals are not included — choose SPD-SL or Look Keo for road shoes, or SPD for versatility. The tubeless-ready setup accepts tubeless tyres; ensure valve stems and sealant are sourced separately. First-service inspection is recommended after the first 100 km.

Pairs Well With

Complete the setup with road cycling shoes matched to your pedal choice, a well-fitted aero or endurance helmet, a quality GPS cycling computer for training data, and tubeless tyre sealant and valve stems to activate the tubeless-ready wheelset from day one.
