Viantor MIPS Road Cycling Helmet

Head protection on Indian roads demands more than a sticker on the shell. Whether you are climbing the Western Ghats out of Pune, chasing dawn rides in Delhi's winter, or grinding through Chennai's coastal humidity, the Abus Viantor MIPS Road Cycling Helmet brings certified safety, active ventilation, and a multi-directional impact protection system into one well-priced package.

Use Cases

Daily training. Ventilated construction for 35°C+ Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai training rides.

Race day. Aerodynamic profile and certified safety standards for competitive efforts.

Long endurance rides. Comfort-first padding and adjustable retention for full-day rides.

Our Take

The Viantor MIPS earns its place in the Indian road cyclist's kit by combining genuine MIPS rotational protection with a ventilation system that keeps air moving during hard climbs in temperatures above 35°C. For riders tackling Lonavala's switchbacks or Ooty's long ascents, the adjustable retention system keeps the helmet locked in place across long efforts without creating pressure points that worsen in the heat. At Rs. 11,995, it is a serious safety upgrade without the premium-tier price.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Measure head circumference at the forehead above the eyebrows — Abus typically runs S (51–55 cm), M (55–59 cm), and L (59–63 cm). Indian head shapes can trend slightly wider than European averages, so if you fall between sizes, size up and use the retention dial to fine-tune fit. The helmet should sit level, not tilted back, with strap forming a V under each ear.

Compatibility Notes

Certified to international safety standards (EN 1078). The integrated MIPS liner is specific to this shell — do not substitute. Compatible with most road cycling sunglasses; verify temple arm clearance before purchase. Sweat and UV exposure from Indian summer riding accelerate foam degradation — replace every five years or immediately after any significant impact, even when external damage is not visible.

Pairs Well With

Complete your safety and comfort setup with a pair of road cycling sunglasses (wraparound lenses suit Indian dust and glare well), a lightweight cycling cap to manage sweat under the helmet, a rechargeable rear light for visibility on India's busy roads, and a quality helmet bag for safe storage and travel.
