Viper Calf Guards

Compression calf guards belong in every serious Indian cyclist's kit. Whether you're grinding up the Western Ghats, racing in Pune's endurance events, or managing back-to-back training days through Chennai's humid summers, targeted compression on the lower leg helps blood return faster and keeps fatigue at bay between efforts. The Santini Viper Calf Guards bring Italian craftsmanship to that specific recovery and on-bike support need.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

Santini's Viper Calf Guards are a smart pick for Indian riders dealing with the double pressure of heat and high training load. Graduated compression on the calf supports circulation during long climbs to Lonavala or Khandala and aids flushing of lactate after hard sessions. They're equally useful on the bike during cool morning rides in Coorg or Ooty, where temperature management matters as much as muscle support. A practical, well-made Italian product at a fair price point.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Santini uses European sizing — check the brand's official size chart carefully before ordering. Indian riders often find that calf circumference, not just height, is the deciding factor for compression fit. A guard that's too loose loses its compression benefit; too tight can restrict circulation. If you're between sizes, the smaller size typically delivers correct graduated compression for riding use.

Compatibility Notes

Calf guards are apparel, not a mechanical component — no bike-standard compatibility required. Machine wash cold, do not tumble dry, and lay flat to preserve elastic integrity. Works over or under knee warmers depending on conditions. Genuine Santini product, sold and shipped by Cobbled Climbs from Mumbai.

Pairs Well With

Round out your kit with bib tights or knee warmers for cold-weather rides, cycling socks in a matching colourway, a quality base layer for temperature management, and electrolyte products for post-ride recovery on hot Indian days.
