Description

The Princeton Carbonworks Wake 6560 DISC Wheelset is a high-performance carbon wheelset designed for riders who demand aerodynamic efficiency without sacrificing vertical compliance. With a 65mm front and 60mm rear rim depth profile, this asymmetric pairing targets real-world riding where crosswinds, varied surfaces, and sustained climbs demand more than a single-depth solution can offer.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable rim and reliable hub bearings for repeat training use.

Race day. Aerodynamic depth and weight-optimised construction for competitive efforts.

All-rounder. Versatile depth and width for road, gravel, or all-road riding.

Our Take

Indian roads punish average wheels and reward excellent ones. The Wake 6560's asymmetric depth pairing — deeper rear for aero gains on flat expressways near Pune or Delhi, shallower front for crosswind stability on the Ghats — suits our riding conditions well. At Rs. 3,20,000, this is a serious investment, but for competitive riders or enthusiasts who clock long kilometres in 35°C+ heat, the rolling quality and speed gains are tangible ride after ride.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Wheelset fit is about standards, not body size. Confirm your frame's axle standard (thru-axle dimensions vary), disc brake interface (Centerlock or 6-bolt), and cassette driver compatibility (Shimano HG, SRAM XDR, or Campagnolo) before ordering. India's heat and monsoon grit accelerate bearing wear — factor in service intervals when budgeting. Free delivery applies on this order; COD available across India.

Compatibility Notes

The Wake 6560 DISC is built for disc-brake frames only — verify your axle standard and rotor interface before purchasing. Confirm cassette body compatibility with your drivetrain. The carbon rim construction supports tubeless setup; use tubeless-specific tape, valves, and sealant. Avoid petroleum-based tyre levers during installation to protect the carbon rim bed.

Pairs Well With

Complete the build with high-quality road or all-road tyres sized for the rim's internal width, tubeless sealant and valve kits, disc brake rotors matched to your caliper standard, and a precision torque wrench for safe installation. Browse all categories at Cobbled Climbs for a compatible build.

Fitting

Wheelset compatibility is determined by three factors, not body measurements. First, confirm your frame and fork axle standard — thru-axle dimensions (front and rear) must match exactly. Second, confirm your disc brake rotor interface: Centerlock or 6-bolt. Third, confirm your drivetrain's cassette body requirement: Shimano HG, SRAM XDR, or Campagnolo. Additionally, check your frame's maximum tyre clearance against the Wake 6560's rim width to ensure adequate mud and road-debris clearance, especially relevant on monsoon-affected roads in cities like Chennai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad.

The Story Behind The Brand

Princeton CarbonWorks is a Singapore-based carbon wheel manufacturer known for its asymmetric rim depth technology — pairing different front and rear depths to balance aerodynamics and handling. Designed for performance-focused road and gravel riders, their wheels are chosen by riders seeking a measurable speed advantage built on engineering precision.
