Wheel Service Parts Spoke Ext Nipples

Spoke nipples are small but critical: a loose or seized nipple can throw a wheel out of true mid-ride and leave you stranded on a Pune-Lonavala climb or a flooded Chennai back road. Zipp's Wheel Service Parts Spoke Extension Nipples are precision-machined replacement components designed to keep your Zipp wheels serviceable, tensioned correctly, and rolling straight for the long haul. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Time in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable rim and reliable hub bearings for repeat training use.

Race day. Aerodynamic depth and weight-optimised construction for competitive efforts.

All-rounder. Versatile depth and width for road, gravel, or all-road riding.

Our Take

Indian riding is hard on wheel builds. Heat above 35°C, monsoon water infiltration, and the variable surfaces between Delhi's expressways and Hyderabad's older city roads all stress spoke tension over time. Having the correct Zipp-spec nipples on hand means a skilled wheel builder can retrue your wheels properly rather than improvise with mismatched parts. For serious riders who want to protect a significant wheel investment, this is an essential service item.

Sizing for Indian Riders

These are spoke extension nipples specific to Zipp wheel builds — sizing here means matching the correct nipple specification to your exact Zipp wheel model. Check your wheel's build sheet or contact Cobbled Climbs before ordering. Using incorrect nipples risks improper spoke tension and wheel failure. Not a universal fit across all Zipp models.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with specific Zipp wheel models that use extension nipples in their spoke bed design. Not interchangeable with standard external nipple builds. Installation should be carried out by an experienced wheel builder with a calibrated spoke tension meter. Store unused nipples away from moisture — particularly relevant during India's monsoon months — to prevent oxidation.

Pairs Well With

To keep your Zipp wheels in top condition, consider pairing these nipples with replacement spokes, a quality spoke tension meter, wheel truing stand, and a compatible rim tape for tubeless maintenance. A full service kit makes every truing session count.
