Wingback Road Cycling Helmet

The Abus Wingback Road Cycling Helmet brings German engineering to Indian roads, where heat, humidity, and varied tarmac demand a lid that works as hard as you do. Whether you're grinding the Ghats above Lonavala, spinning through Pune's morning traffic, or pushing pace on Delhi's ring roads, this helmet is built to keep you cool, comfortable, and protected all ride long.

Use Cases

Daily training. Ventilated construction for 35°C+ Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai training rides.

Race day. Aerodynamic profile and certified safety standards for competitive efforts.

Long endurance rides. Comfort-first padding and adjustable retention for full-day rides.

Our Take

At Rs. 9,590, the Wingback sits in a competitive mid-range bracket where Abus's reputation for safety and build quality genuinely stands out. The ventilation system earns its keep during India's brutal pre-monsoon months when temperatures in Chennai, Hyderabad, and Pune regularly breach 38°C. The adjustable retention system holds firm on rough surfaces without hot spots developing over long rides — a real advantage on Indian roads.

Sizing for Indian Riders

European helmet sizing generally translates well, but head shapes vary. Measure your circumference at the forehead before ordering: S fits 51–55 cm, M fits 55–59 cm, L fits 59–63 cm. The retention system offers meaningful micro-adjustment, which helps bridge the gap if you fall between sizes. In humid conditions, a snug but not tight fit prevents the helmet shifting when sweat builds up.

Compatibility Notes

The Wingback meets international safety certification standards relevant to Indian road use. The adjustable strap system is compatible with most cycling sunglasses — verify temple arm clearance before pairing with wider frames. Helmet pads are sweat-absorbent and removable for washing, important during India's monsoon season when bacteria can accumulate quickly. Replace after any significant impact.

Pairs Well With

Complete your setup with a quality pair of cycling sunglasses for UV and dust protection, a lightweight skull cap or cycling cap for sweat management on long climbs, a rechargeable rear light for visibility on Indian roads, and breathable road cycling gloves for vibration damping on rough surfaces.
