Ws Black Road Rear RIM Brake Wheelset

The Corima Ws Black Road Rear RIM Brake Wheelset is a dedicated rear wheel engineered for road cyclists who demand precision rolling performance and lateral stiffness on every ride. Built around a precision hub with optimised bearing placement, this rim brake wheel is designed for riders who prefer the simplicity and weight advantage of rim braking on their road bike. Cobbled Climbs is the exclusive Indian distributor for Campagnolo in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable rim and reliable hub bearings for repeat training use.

Race day. Aerodynamic depth and weight-optimised construction for competitive efforts.

All-rounder. Versatile depth and width for road, gravel, or all-road riding.

Our Take

Corima has built serious wheels for decades, and this rear rim brake option suits Indian road cyclists well — particularly those climbing the Western Ghats, riding Pune to Lonavala, or targeting flat expressway speeds around Hyderabad and Chennai. Rim brake setups stay lighter, dissipate heat more predictably in dry conditions, and suit frames built before disc became standard. For performance-focused riders with compatible bikes, this is a worthwhile upgrade.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a rear wheel — confirm your frame's rear axle standard (typically QR 130mm for road) before ordering. Verify your brake pad compound matches the rim surface. Indian summer heat above 35°C can affect rim brake performance on long descents, so check Corima's recommended pad compound and monitor braking on sustained Ghat descents.

Compatibility Notes

Designed for rim brake road frames with a standard QR 130mm rear dropout. Confirm cassette body compatibility — Shimano HG, SRAM, or Campagnolo — before ordering. Use correct brake pad compound for the rim surface material. Not compatible with disc brake frames. Check Corima's recommended service intervals for hub bearings.

Pairs Well With

Complete your setup with a matching Corima front rim brake wheel, performance road tyres suited to your rim width, quality rim brake pads in the correct compound for the rim surface, and a reliable torque wrench for hub and skewer installation.
